Hello, and thank you for visiting my website!

I’m Andrea Bendig.

I'm a registered nurse specializing as a dementia care consultant with a master’s degree in nursing and decades of experience helping families navigate the challenges of dementia care. My clinical experience, combined with my deep passion for advocacy, has made me a trusted resource for individuals, families, and caregiving professionals seeking guidance.

My dedication to dementia care is both professional and personal. My grandfather had Alzheimer’s disease, which gave me firsthand insight into the struggles that families face.

Early in my career, I was the recipient of an award that allowed me to train with neurologists and psychiatrists on dementia care, shaping my approach to compassionate and evidence-based practice. Since then, I’ve been committed to educating communities, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

As a certified dementia practitioner and certified Dementia Live coach and education partner with Age-u-cate, I consult for multiple agencies, train employees, and facilitate simulated dementia experiences. I am also an approved instructor for dementia training for healthcare professionals through the Institute of Gerontology at Wayne State University.

I’ve been invited to present on dementia by the Chamber of Commerce, the library, the Parkinson’s Foundation, and numerous senior care communities. My work as been featured on several media outlets (articles and YouTube interviews) and podcasts, including one that described my guidance as “life-changing” for families navigating dementia care.

Beyond my professional work, I actively raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, advocating for better resources, research and support. Above all, I believe that no one should face dementia alone. My mission is to ensure that every individual affected by dementia and their families has the support and resources they need to navigate their journey with confidence, compassion, and dignity.
